Rockies Down Giants, 5-4
|
Colorado picked up a win at AT&T Park, bumping off the San Francisco Giants, 5-4. Pitcher Vince Scripp was a major reason the Rockies emerged victorious. Earning his 1st save of the year was Nate Dallman. Colorado has a record of 10-8.
The game was at a stalemate until shortstop Jon Munoz came to bat in the top of the 16th. Facing San Francisco pitcher Caleb Mullinax, he hit a first pitch cutter for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Colorado on top, 5-4.
In postgame remarks, Munoz simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
