Cardinals Continue Skid, Thanks to Donovan, Brewers
|
Milwaukee left fielder Daniel Donovan had 4 ribbies while helping his team defeat the St. Louis Cardinals, 5-2. John Owens earned the save for Milwaukee, his 2nd of the year. The Cardinals, now 8-14, continue their slow start.
Donovan had a timely hit for Milwaukee in the bottom of the seventh. With St. Louis trailing 2-1, he turned a 1-0 sinker into a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 3-2, Milwaukee.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Donovan told the Milwaukee News.
