Brokken and Barnes Suspended for Free-for-All Friday, April 17th , 2048 After an intense confrontation, both the RockHounds Moses Brokken and the Sea Dogs Nick Barnes were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Midland-Portland game. Moses Brokken will miss 4 games, while Nick Barnes was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Moses Brokken commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." In 9 games this season Brokken is batting .154 with 4 hits and no home runs. He has scored 1 runs and driven in 5. |
