Randy Yarrigle Calls it a Career
Saturday, May 2nd , 2048
His Biloxi Shuckers teammates were not terribly surprised when Randy Yarrigle announced his retirement today.
In a low-key affair, Yarrigle explained his rationale.
"My aches and pains have caught up with me. They don't seem to go away like they used to when I was a kid," he said. "I'm spending more and more time in the trainer's room and less and less time preparing for my next game. I've come to a realization that I've done what I can in this game and spending more time playing baseball is just stealing from my future self."
When asked, the team manager noted "Randy has always been an honest man and when he says he's done, well, he's done."
So far in his career Yarrigle has 2 saves with a 4-4 record and a 7.13 ERA.
