Zuniga Rips Mississippi for 5 Hits Friday, July 31st , 2048 Danny Zuniga did all he could with his bat, but it just wasn't enough for the Reading Fightin Phils to pull out a victory. The 23-year-old starting pitcher rapped out 5 hits in the game, but the Fightin Phils could not overcome the Mississippi Braves. Reading lost the game 16-5 today at FirstEnergy Stadium. Danny Zuniga hit a solo-shot off Jeff Olech in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jeff Olech in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 9th, walked in the 11th and singled in the 13th. So far this season Zuniga has a record of 1-1 with 30 strikeouts and 19 walks in 33.2 innings and a 6.68 ERA. |
