Razor-Sharp Boudreau Blanks Reading Sunday, August 23rd , 2048 Don Boudreau kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Altoona Curve were all smiles after winning 21-0 against the Reading Fightin Phils at FirstEnergy Stadium today. The right-handed Boudreau gave up no runs in his start, permitted 3 hits and had 11 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Boudreau said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." Checking out his stats for the season, Boudreau has registered 12 wins and 6 losses in 25 starts, 2.56 ERA and struck out 174 batters in 165.1 innings. |
