Red-Hot Pineda Scorches RockHounds Friday, September 18th , 2048 All game long, Frisco's Jose Pineda was rattling the walls at Security Bank Ballpark and banging out base hits against the Midland RockHounds. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the RoughRiders had a 7-1 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 25-year-old third baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Jose Pineda hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 9th. This season Pineda is hitting at a .282 pace with 2 home runs, 23 RBIs and has scored 24 times. |
