Drillers Advance to Conference Championship Thursday, October 8th , 2048 The Tulsa Drillers have swept the Springfield Cardinals and are on to the Conference Championship. Tulsa won 4-3 today at ONEOK Field to clinch the Division Championship. "We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said Tulsa left fielder Justin Toth, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning." Toth won the award with a .250 batting average and a .438 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Conference Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Championship finishes. |
