Outstanding Pitcher Award Presented by NL Thursday, November 12th , 2048 Orlando Velazquez of the Mississippi Braves is in the spotlight today. He was acclaimed the best pitcher in the National League and will be honored with the 2048 Outstanding Pitcher Award. He started 29 games and compiled a 17-6 record with an ERA of 2.01 in 183.1 innings with 203 strikeouts. He received 30 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Steve Mintz of the Tulsa Drillers finished second in voting, while Don Boudreau of the Altoona Curve finished third.
