Ray Insley Drills 3 HR in One Game

Sometimes it just isn't enough.
Ray Insley had an outstanding day at The Diamond for the Modesto Nuts today, ripping three home runs. Nonetheless, the Nuts fell to the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 17-11.
Insley had a feast at the plate, pounding everything thrown his way. The 24-year-old first baseman banged out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 times and batted in 5 runs. Despite his sensational performance, the Nuts were not able to hold off the Flying Squirrels.
"Baseball is a funny game," Insley said in the post-game interview, "You can't dwell on the reasons for the loss. I'm sure there will be days when I go 0-for-4 and we win. These things tend to even out."
Ray Insley hit a two-run home run off Omar Rondon in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Omar Rondon in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Kyle Rindels in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
Insley on the season is hitting .263 with 7 home runs. His stats include 16 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
