Luke Cracks 5 Hits Thursday, December 17th , 2048 The Richmond Flying Squirrels tripped up the Modesto Nuts 17-11 today. The Flying Squirrels were led by John Luke, their 26-year-old left fielder. Luke made life miserable for Modesto pitchers all day, tagging them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. John Luke hit an RBI double in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit a two-run triple in the 8th. For the season Luke is currently batting .450 with no home runs and 7 RBIs. In 11 games he has reached base at a .500 rate and scored 8 runs to date. |
