Dong-u Chang Rockets 3 Home Runs
Monday, December 21st , 2048
Jupiter Hammerheads shortstop Dong-u Chang sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little.
Prior to the start of today's contest with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, Chang told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times.
"During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber."
The big day from Chang pushed the Hammerheads past the Flying Squirrels, 18-6. To go along with the homers, he collected 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs.
"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Chang told reporters after the game.
Dong-u Chang hit a two-run home run off Hector Jimenez in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Joe Gonzales in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Kyle Rindels in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
In his season totals Chang has 4 home runs and a .290 batting average.
