Been Hits 3 Homers Against Hartford Sunday, May 24th , 2048 Vaclav Been was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 12-5 Lakewood BlueClaws triumph at First Energy Park today. The 24-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the BlueClaws past the Hartford Yard Goats. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Been told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The left fielder went 3-for-5, rung up 6 RBIs and scored 3 runs on his record-setting day. Vaclav Been hit a solo-shot off Logan Ramsey in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Josh Blaschke in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Wilson Mendez in the 8th. This season Been is swinging the bat at a .230 rate with 40 hits in 174 at-bats. To date he has hit 8 home runs, scored 17 runs and driven in 26. |
