Kernels Stout May's Top Hurler Monday, June 1st , 2048 When Jason Stout strolls in from the bullpen, he is a good bet to nail down the victory for the Cedar Rapids Kernels. That's the way it was last month as he performed his job in an almost flawless fashion. Today he was honored as May's Pitcher of the Month by the American League. The Cedar Rapids pitcher compiled a 5-0 record, no saves, 43 strikeouts and a 0.96 ERA in 37.1 innings over no relief appearances. For the season Stout is 7-and-2 with no saves and a 1.60 ERA. He has given up 43 hits in 62 innings with 74 strikeouts. |
