McDonald Belts 5 Hits Thursday, June 11th , 2048 No matter what the Quad Cities River Bandits threw at him today, David McDonald hit it. He easily handled River Bandits pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Kernels to a 13-1 triumph at Modern Woodmen Park. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of McDonald's quip, River Bandits skipper Carlos Leon said he "would take him up on that next time." David McDonald singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. To date this year McDonald is batting .224 with 3 home runs. |
