Medina on Fire: 5-for-5 for West Michigan Friday, June 26th , 2048 Willie Medina said "it felt like taking batting practice" today at Fifth Third Ballpark, and it showed in the box score. The West Michigan left fielder had a fantastic 5-for-5 day against the Clinton LumberKings, leading his club to victory, 17-3. "I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Medina said later." Willie Medina doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 5th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Luis Pantoja in the 8th. This year Medina is hitting .290, produced 30 RBIs and 7 home runs, scored 45 times and gotten on base at a .342 rate. |
