Big Day for Yokoyama: Swats 5 Hits Wednesday, July 29th , 2048 It was nearly a perfect day for Kinzo Yokoyama at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Although the Clinton LumberKings first baseman was sensational at the plate, collecting 5 base hits in 5 at-bats, it just wasn't enough to keep the LumberKings from falling to the Lexington Legends. Lexington spoiled his great day at the plate by taking a 4-3 win. Kinzo Yokoyama hit a two-run home run off Butch Ott in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and tripled in the 9th. This season Yokoyama is batting .275 with 4 home runs. He has scored 29 runs and driven in 28. |
