League Punishes Pair for Fighting
Sunday, August 9th , 2048
If there wasn't a history between Jamie Jennings of Beloit and David Reyes of Clinton, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 4 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Jennings said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
This season Jennings has delivered 13 hits in 62 at-bats for a .210 average with 1 home run. He is getting on base at a .333 clip and his totals also include 10 RBIs and 5 runs scored. This year Jennings has played in 23 games.
For the season Reyes has logged no wins and 12 losses and struck out 50 batters in 78.1 innings while compiling a 9.08 ERA.
