Edwards Strokes 3 HR Against Greensboro

Fans are still buzzing after West Virginia whipped the Greensboro Grasshoppers by the score of 26-3 today at Appalachian Power Park.
Jeff Edwards smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the right fielder bashed out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, had 6 RBIs and scored 5 times.
At the postgame press conference, Edwards said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game.
"Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Edwards said. "Three is just... wow."
Jeff Edwards struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Mike Wasson in the 3rd, walked in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Bill Padgett in the 5th, walked in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jose Cabello in the 7th.
Edwards is currently batting .292 with 18 home runs and 54 RBIs.
