Now the 36-year-old pitcher has an award to show just how valuable he was, as he's been named the 2048 American League Most Valuable Player Award winner.
His remarkable campaign saw him put up a 18-3 record. In 32 starts he piled up 219.2 innings, had 218 strikeouts with 46 walks and a 1.84 ERA. Knapp held opposing hitters to a .213 batting average and compiled a 6.6 WAR.
