Ruben Serrata of the Great Lakes Loons had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2048.

The 26-year-old center fielder put up a .288 average and a .361 on-base percentage, piling up 141 hits, 24 doubles, 1 triple, 20 home runs, 73 RBIs and 89 runs scored.

He received 18 first place votes out of a possible 30. Gerardo Macias of the Peoria Chiefs finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Iestyn Nicholls of the Atlanta (MID) Braves finished third with 5 first place votes.
