Indians Blank Idaho Falls, Walshe Winner Monday, August 3rd , 2048 Victor Walshe had an impressive outing at Avista Stadium today, hurling the Spokane Indians to a 5-0 shutout victory over the Idaho Falls Chukars. "He threw strikes and he was always around the plate," Idaho Falls skipper Michael Petersen said. "The ball was doing everything he wanted it to do. We hit some balls hard, but they were all right at the fielders." On the day, the right-handed Walshe yielded 3 hits and tallied 12 strikeouts with no walks. For this year Walshe has chalked up 18 wins and 2 losses in 23 starts with 208 strikeouts in 167.2 innings and a 1.88 ERA. |
