McClellan Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Wednesday, August 12th , 2048 The Minnesota (NYP) Twins fell to the Vermont Lake Monsters in Centennial Field today, even as 23-year-old shortstop David McClellan upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. McClellan finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Twins from dropping the 5-0 decision. "Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said McClellan. David McClellan struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season McClellan has hit at a .355 clip with 32 RBIs, 1 home runs and 35 runs scored. |
