Parker Hits in 20 Straight Games Monday, August 17th , 2048 The Lowell Spinners stopped the Tri-City ValleyCats today 4-3 and Matt Parker collected a base hit yet again. The Lowell second baseman finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Parker told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Matt Parker struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th. In 65 games this season Parker is batting .293 with 71 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 48 runs and driven in 35. |
