Granados in Command, No-Hits Yankees Friday, August 21st , 2048 Robby Granados of the Vancouver Canadians was the King of the Hill today at Nat Bailey Stadium. The Vancouver starter dominated the Staten Island Yankees, giving up zero hits in his 11-0 victory. "The toughest part was the last couple of innings," Granados recounted after the game. "You know you have a no-hitter going, and so does everybody in the ballpark. That was the hard part, keeping focused and concentrating while your heart is pounding." Granados recorded 15 strikeouts and 2 walks in the game. To date, Granados has collected no saves in no relief appearances. He has rung up 212 strikeouts and 39 walks in 153.2 innings while registering a 1.82 ERA and a 17-2 won-lost record. |
