Parker Runs Hit String to 25 Straight Games Sunday, August 23rd , 2048 Matt Parker has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Lowell second baseman picked up 1 more today against the Connecticut Tigers and now has a 25-game hitting streak. The Spinners won the game 7-3. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Matt Parker walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th and singled in the 8th. For the season Parker is hitting .305, batted in 37 runs with 4 home runs and 50 runs scored. |
