Mendoza Red-Hot, NL Player of the Week Monday, August 31st , 2048 When it came to hitting the baseball, Manny Mendoza had few peers in the National League this past week. The talented first baseman for Los Angeles (NYP) tagged opposing pitchers for a .583 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award.
