Vasquez Nabs NL #1 Pitcher Trophy Tuesday, September 1st , 2048 A relief pitcher really has to distinguish himself in order to get recognition by the media, but today the spotlight shined brightly on Oswaldo Vasquez as he was named the National League Pitcher of the Month. He made 14 relief appearances and compiled 13 saves, 15.1 innings, 15 strikeouts and a 1.76 ERA. In August Vasquez was 1-0. Season-to-date Vasquez has 28 saves in 39 relief appearances with a 3-3 mark and 2.03 ERA. |
