Schram Belts Bunch of Base Hits Tuesday, September 29th , 2048 It seemed Hillsboro Hops first baseman Nikita Schram could do no wrong today, but it still didn't come out right. The Hops fell against the Auburn Doubledays by the score of 7-5. Schram did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Auburn prevailed at Ron Tonklin Field. "I felt real good today, but my best just wasn't enough," Schram said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that." Nikita Schram doubled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jayden Taylor in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jayden Taylor in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
