Williamsport Takes Divisional Championship in Deciding Game Wednesday, October 14th , 2048 The Williamsport Crosscutters and Tri-City Dust Devils didn't hold back anything in the Divisional Championship, with each team pulling out all the stops in an effort to advance to the Conference Championship. Williamsport won the final game by a score of 10-4 at Bowman Field and that concluded the series, 4-3. "Relief is the biggest thing," Williamsport left fielder Chris Moody said when asked how he felt. "It's a grind both mentally and physically to have a long series like this, but our guys stuck with it and Tri-City deserves credit for the hard fight." Moody paced the Williamsport offence and earned MVP honors. For the series, he hit .435 with a .536 on-base percentage, 1 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Conference Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the Divisional Championship finishes. |
