When David Deon jogged in from the bullpen this season, opposing teams knew they were going to have a tough time putting up runs.

The
Williamsport Crosscutters starting pitcher turned in a dominant campaign and has been named the National League Reliever of the Year winner for 2048.

His award-winning season saw the bullpen ace get 2 saves in 56 relief appearances, 142 strikeouts in 106.1 innings and only 30 walks. He had a record of 8 wins and 2 losses to go with his 1.78 ERA.

"I hope I can pitch like this every year," he said.

He received 16 first place votes out of a possible 30. Daniel Aguayo of the State College Spikes finished second in voting with 14 first place votes, while Gwidon Kaminski of the Brooklyn Cyclones finished third.
