Sasada Selected NL's Best Player

Tamaichi Sasada took New York-Penn League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 22.
For his spectacular campaign, the Rome Braves star has been named the 2048 National League Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the first baseman.
On the season he compiled a .316 batting average to go with a .417 on-base percentage. The native of Hiroshima, Japan also added 25 doubles, 3 triples, 43 home runs, 137 RBIs and 98 runs scored.
He received 22 first place votes out of a possible 30. Franklin Quezada of the Hillsboro Hops finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Jason Ostrom of the Williamsport Crosscutters finished third.
