Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl
Tuesday, August 18th , 2048
Ryan Starks of the Elizabethton Twins and Alex Roman of the Pulaski Yankees will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 5 and 6 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Twins-Yankees game at Joe O'Brien Field.
Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Starks and Roman will begin serving them soon.
This season Starks is batting .286 with 45 RBIs, 50 runs scored and 19 home runs.
Roman has made 16 starts this season, posting no wins and 8 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .254 against him and he has 48 strikeouts in 62 innings with a 6.82 ERA.
