Hutcheson 6-for-6 Against Voyagers
Wednesday, September 23rd , 2048
After his 6-hit effort at Red Sox Complex was tarnished by Boston (APP)'s 13-7 loss to the Great Falls Voyagers, catcher Mike Hutcheson told BNN beat writers it was "a missed opportunity for a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "I would have been happy to stop there if it meant we got a win."
He didn't get the win, but the 22-year-old had a spectacular 6-for-6 game against the Voyagers.
"His swing is getting there," said Red Sox skipper Drew Vettleson after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Mike did that to perfection today and we wasted it."
Mike Hutcheson doubled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 11th and singled in the 12th.
Hutcheson is presently hitting at a .352 pace with 17 home runs, 44 RBIs and has scored 56 times.
