Kuehne Keeps Hit Streak Alive
Friday, October 9th , 2048
The Philadelphia (APP) Phillies may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 7-6 to the Washington (APP) Nationals, but Rich Kuehne continued to hit like a god.
The right fielder collected 2 hits in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Kuehne is playing great and is on fire right now," Phillies manager Marc Wik said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Kuehne was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Rich Kuehne flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
Currently Kuehne is batting .366 with 160 hits and 43 home runs. He has knocked in 125 runs and scored 177 times.
