3-HR Binge for Slot Against Billings
Tuesday, October 20th , 2048
Philadelphia (APP) Phillies right fielder Zach Slot put on a dazzling display of power today at Dehler Park against the Billings Mustangs. In the 14-1 Phillies victory Slot penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Billings manager Mike Wade said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."

Along with his three home runs, the 25-year-old had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 9 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Slot said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."

Zach Slot hit a two-run home run off Ryan Krause in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Cortez Restrepo in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Guang Jue in the 6th and struck out in the 7th.

So far this year in 71 games Slot is hitting .325 with 24 home runs, 77 RBIs and 61 runs scored.
