Brewers Heading to Division Series Sunday, November 1st , 2048 The Wildcards Series may not have lived up to the expectation that it would be a dogfight that would go the distance. The Helena Brewers, however, are not complaining. The Brewers were plenty happy to have wrapped up the series early and to have knocked out the Miami (APP) Marlins to advance to the Division Series . Helena won the final game by a 2-1 count at Kindrick Legion Field and the series 4-1. Brewers shortstop Jesus Menjivar was named series MVP, as he hit .471 with a .500 on-base percentage. He added 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs. "It's not going to be the last time Miami (APP) makes it to the playoffs, so it's sure a nice feeling to put them out this year," Menjivar said. "We just need to keep this going and take it day by day." The Division Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcards Series finishes. |
