Wildcards Series Goes the Distance, Bluefield Prevails Tuesday, November 3rd , 2048 The Bluefield Blue Jays are off to the Division Series after an exciting Wildcards Series triumph. Bluefield downed the Cleveland (APP) Indians, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 3-0 win tonight at Bowen Field wrapping up the series 4-3. "It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Jorge Cruz, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series. Cruz put up a .444 with a .531 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 12 runs and scored 7 runs himself. The Division Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wildcards Series finishes. |
