Grubbs Scorches Blue Jays for 3 HR Thursday, November 12th , 2048 Billy Grubbs showed off his power today as he launched three balls into the seats against the Bluefield Blue Jays and sparked the Voyagers to a 11-5 victory. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Centene Stadium." For the day, Grubbs collected 4 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 8 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Great Falls skipper Bay Buckley said. "Billy really put on a show." Billy Grubbs hit a three-run home run off Jack Osborne in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Marcus Reiling in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off William Capuano in the 7th. So far this season Grubbs is hitting .312 with 80 home runs. |
