Brewers Heading to World Series Sunday, November 22nd , 2048 The championship aspirations of the Helena Brewers are still alive and well, while the San Diego (APP) Padres are left to wait until next year. Helena won the clinching game of the Conference Series 2-0 over San Diego (APP) at Kindrick Legion Field, to win the series 4-2. "You feel like a little kid again, celebrating something like this," said catcher Frank Pena, who paced the Helena offense and was named series MVP. "We take everything real seriously when we're on the field, but after a series is over you can finally relax a little bit." Pena claimed the MVP by racking up 8 hits for a .348 average, with a .375 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, 5 RBI and scored 4 runs. The World Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Conference Series finishes. |
