American League Names League's Best

Andy Cotton took Appalachian League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 24.
For his spectacular campaign, the Great Falls Voyagers star has been named the 2048 American League Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the left fielder.
On the season he compiled a .353 batting average to go with a .514 on-base percentage. The native of Norwalk, California also added 30 doubles, 12 triples, 75 home runs, 147 RBIs and 193 runs scored.
He received 22 first place votes out of a possible 30. Bobby Scott of the Texas (APP) Rangers finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Billy Grubbs of the Great Falls Voyagers finished third.
