Putnam Shackles Minnesota Wednesday, September 16th , 2048 Eric Putnam kept the Minnesota Twins hitters from doing any damage at Comerica Park today. Minnesota could only muster 2 hits and take 2 walks against the right-handed Putnam, who controlled them throughout the game as Detroit took the contest, 10-0. Putnam added 9 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Putnam told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time." In 30 starts this season Putnam has gathered 10 wins while suffering 13 losses.
