Playoffs Won't Happen for Marlins Sunday, September 27th , 2048 While they stayed relevant until late in the season, a playoff berth wasn't meant to be this season for the Miami Marlins. The club was eliminated from playoff contention today. "Even though we knew where things stood, it's a disappointment," Marlins manager Mike Scott said. Miami last appeared in the postseason in 2041. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 44 times in their 56 - year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Marlins have made the playoffs 5 times. Miami has won the World Series 3 times in their history. |
