Diamondbacks Win World Series Crown Monday, November 2nd , 2048 It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Arizona Diamondbacks, that meant the Major League Baseball World Series trophy. The Diamondbacks took a 3-0 victory over the Montreal Expos at Chase Field, winning their 2nd championship after taking the series 4-2. "We've got grit," said Diamondbacks shortstop Jason Peck, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."
