Stirnweiss Sweeps Up Rookie of the Year Award Monday, November 16th , 2048 They say first impressions are lasting impressions. If this is true, National League hitters had better be wary -- Stan Stirnweiss could be around for years to come. The Pittsburgh starter took home the 2048 NL Rookie of the Year Award today. Stirnweiss fashioned a 15-12 mark in 33 starts. He threw 229.2 innings, collected 267 strikeouts and put up a 3.92 ERA. He received 24 first place votes out of a possible 30.
