NL Outstanding Skipper Award Given to Quintana Tuesday, November 17th , 2048 The Arizona Diamondbacks called a press conference to announce that field manager Jose Quintana had been named National League Manager of the Year earlier in the day. Staffers congratulated the 59-year-old baseball guru as he approached the podium. "This city has allowed me to craft a winning ball club," said Quintana. "When you take on a new job, there's always some adjustment period, but everyone here has been cooperative. From the bat boys on up. Here's to many more successful seasons for the Arizona Diamondbacks!" Quintana led Arizona to a 107-55 record this year and a first place finish in the National League West Division. |
