Big Trade in MLB Thursday, November 19th , 2048 A blockbuster trade that includes superstar players was just announced at a press conference in Toronto. The Toronto Blue Jays have sent 29-year old RF Jon Schick, 25-year old C Zory Larikov, 23-year old minor league RHP Pat Powell, 23-year old minor league RHP Chris Kroesen, 24-year old minor league 2B Frank Caulfield, a 3rd round draft pick, a 4th round draft pick, a 5th round draft pick, a 6th round draft pick, and a 7th round draft pick to the Chicago Cubs for 36-year old 1B Efrain Vargas. Chicago will retain a portion of Vargas's remaining contract. Schick has a career .281 batting average with a .372 OBP. He has hit 58 homers, driven in 301 runs and scored 375 runs since he came into the league. Vargas has 2806 career hits with a .349 batting average and 585 home runs. |
