Cardinals, Blue Jays Confirm Deal
Saturday, December 5th , 2048
BNN has learned the St. Louis Cardinals have reportedly worked out a deal with the Toronto Blue Jays. Sources close to the Cardinals indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 19-year old minor league LHP Kevin Snider, 21-year old minor league RHP Bob Markle, 23-year old minor league RHP Joe Spencer, a 3rd round draft pick, and a 4th round draft pick will be swapped to St. Louis with 29-year old RHP Ray Scifo heading to Toronto. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized.

St. Louis will retain a portion of Scifo's remaining contract.

Scifo has pitched in 300 games over his career, posting 32 saves and a 68-81 won-lost mark. He has registered an ERA of 5.34, logged 1125.1 innings and recorded 1000 strikeouts.
