1B Branham Signs New Deal with Athletics Tuesday, December 15th , 2048 Bob Branham took the Athletics up on their lucrative $2,500,000 deal today, ending speculation on which baseball metropolis he would call home next year. But the signing came at too high a price, say longtime fans who think the club is too focused on players whose prime years have passed them by. Branham is batting .283 with 1678 career base hits, including 415 doubles, 14 triples and 401 home runs with 1329 RBIs and 934 runs scored.
