Matsui Cracks 3 HRs for Victoria

Victoria first baseman Taki Matsui blasted three homers today at Colt .45's Stadium in the 9-1 Capitals victory over the Houston Colt .45's.
For the game, Taki Matsui scored 4 times and knocked in 8 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Matsui when he reached home plate.
"It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-4, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Matsui told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day."
Taki Matsui walked in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Kuaika Anakala in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Rory Mozer in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Kurt Carr in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
So far this season Matsui is batting .551 with 17 home runs, 34 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 49 at-bats, 14 walks and a .646 OBP. Matsui has played in 16 games.
